How much time do you take to write a book?

Victoria Schwab It depends on the book. I wrote the first draft of THE ARCHIVED in about 3.5 months, but the first draft of VICIOUS took nearly 3 years! I try not to force a project, but at the same time, I try to keep myself to a schedule, so normally a book takes about 6 months.

Is the name choice of your characters, Victor in particular, a tribute to Frankenstein? More then once Victor said that he and Eli where playing at being God. And that reminded me of Mary Shelly's character. And if is that so can we think of Eli as Victor's "creature"?
