I'm halfway through A Darker Shade of Magic and I wanted to say that this is your best work yet! And that's saying a lot considering how great Vicious was. How many drafts do you usually write before you're completely satisfied with the novel?

Why thank you!! I usually write 1-2* before sending it to my agent and editor, and then it goes through 3-5 rounds of revision, tightening big picture things like plot and worldbuilding, down to character and nuance.
*My drafts are notoriously "clean" because I edit and polish as I go, so my first draft might LOOK like someone else's later draft, even when it still needs a lot of work.
