What are you currently working on?

Lucinda Riley I am writing a seven book series called ‘The Seven Sisters’ based loosely on the mythology surrounding the famous star constellation. I am very excited about this project and have been overwhelmed by the response to Book 1, also called ‘The Seven Sisters’. I have now finished writing Book 2, called ‘The Storm Sister’, which will be published in the UK/Commonwealth and Brazil in November 2015, Norway and Italy in January 2016, Germany in March, France and USA in May, and Greece in the summer 2016.

It tells Ally’s story. A talented sailor and musician, she falls in love with a man who competes in one of the world's deadliest sailing races, and tragedy strikes. This leads her to leave her old life on the water behind and follow the clue her father left her to Norway. There, she begins to discover her past – and the story of a young woman, Anna, who lived there over 100 years before – and her links to the composer Edvard Grieg and his world famous music set to Ibsen’s Peer Gynt poem.

I have just started writing Book 3, Star’s story, and I plan to finish it by early 2016.

I am also continuing to rewrite and publish books that I wrote some years ago. Two have already been very successfully published (‘The Italian Girl’ and ‘The Angel Tree’) and at the moment I am finishing off a lovely ‘summer story’ I wrote in 2006 called ‘Helena’s Secret’, based in Cyprus. ‘Seeing Double’, from 1999, will be next.
