Anansi Boys is a stand-alone novel. I know people who read American gods (and hated it) and hence didn't want to read Anansi Boys. I had to beg then to not give up on the ever-so eccentric Gaiman.

Peter C American Gods was more about the old gods, which were very old and weird. Gaiman brought them back from the "dead" and united them into an epic story. ...more

Bunny Aoife i have read all of gaimans novels other than anansi boys, and I would consider american gods by far the worst of them, but to be fair, still not a bad ...more
