So many series get bogged down in later books by having to involve every character ever named and bringing them up to date. I love the way you've avoided this in the Curse of Chalion series. And we've seen Miles from birth to Count, so even as a fan, I'm not sure I'd want more. But are you working on a new series, or is this a forbidden question?
Lois McMaster Bujold
There are no forbidden questions as such, though some may get more satisfactory answers than others.
I am not working on a new series at this time.
Should I have anything new to announce (winters in Minnesota are long, dark, cold, and conducive to indoor activities, after all), I would make a blog post. However, as I am not one of those people who counts up their clicks (why, for pity's sake?), I'm not much into teasing. If there is something firm to say, I'll just say it.

Hello! A couple of questions ago you mentioned A Warrior's Apprentice as one of your evergreens, having never won awards (among some other criteria), which I'm so shocked by! I read it in high school and one of its lines is now memorialized as my senior year quote (too embarrassed to say which one). I've now graduated from college and still go back to it every year. Thanks for writing it all those years ago <3 [?]

Hi there, I was wondering: do you have a "feel-good" book? A book you read when you feel down, a book which always make you smile? A book that gives you hope? Thanks for answering and I hope you have a good turnover of the year! And many many thanks for the books you gave us readers, they brighten the landscape :) Cheers, Edith
