Anyone else not convinced by Roque's betrayal? I know it was set up, and it was to be expected. However it just doesn't quite make sense with the character. Roque is a poet, if anyone would stand with Darrow in his mission to blend the colors it would be him. I just don't see him reacting the way that he did and it smells like he is part of this to actually help Darrow. What do you guys think?

The revelation that Darrow was a red and had deceived him for several years came as a shock and disappointment. It could be he reacted rashly. And who know, maybe he regrets what he did at some deeper level, but he also believes in the poetry and beauty of his gold-centric social world order.(less)
