Goodreads asked Donna Galanti:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Donna Galanti When you're under deadlines you don't have the luxury of writer's block! The best thing I do is treat writing like a job and make sure to carve out time to write and push myself to get words on the paper. I may start out without an idea of what I want to write, but once I begin I always find a kernel of an idea that propels me forward in the story. Another way to combat this, is to end a writing session in the middle of a paragraph, scene, or chapter - then when I return to writing the story my thoughts can flow easier as I wasn't at an "end point". When all else fails, I go for a walk. This unravels ideas in my head every time!
