Goodreads asked Elizabeth Ann West:

How do you get inspired to write?

Elizabeth Ann West I like to listen to music that I consider could be from a character's point-of-view for the scene I'm writing. For example, when I had to write a sense of loss for the Bennet sisters over their father in the Seasons of Serendipity, I usually listened to Adagio for Strings. My most recent book I had to write a "I will always love you" letter, so I listened to Gravity by Sara Bareilles.
