I simply love Fools Gold books, I never get tired of them :) So I have 2 questions: 1) Is it hard to make new stories with new characters, but at the same time related to past stories? And 2) Why not dedicate an entire book to Consuelo and Kent? They became one of my favourites, and I wished they've had their own book. Thanks for taking time for this :)

Susan Mallery Hi, Tannia. Thank you! Writing the Fool’s Gold books is a special challenge because I have to keep two different types of readers in mind. I want to satisfy the longtime reader who hopes to reconnect with characters they’ve come to love, and at the same time, I want to make sure that readers who are new to the series don’t feel lost or overwhelmed with too many names.

At this point, I’m afraid there’s no way I can give Kent and Consuelo their own book. They fell in love in Three Little Words, and they're very happy together. The only way to do give them their own book would be to break them up, put them in conflict, something I can’t bear to do. For the first time in her life, Consuelo knows that she is loved.
