Are the Junie B books good for 1st graders? Some of the reviews read were quite complimentary, but some though that Junie B books encouraged bad attitude and too much sass. Opinions? I've never read one.

I do censor the book because I don't want to lose my job and I don't want to glorify the word and then hear them using that language in class. We do talk about if her behavior makes her respectful, responsible or safe. (less)
