Nyeisha (Bookbabe of Delaware) asked Andrew Pyper:

Mr. Pyper; what do you think is the key ingredient to writing the perfect psychological thriller?

Andrew Pyper Many ingredients go into a good thriller, but I think the most important are two: a) the situation (the premise, the world you build where the action takes place, how unique or believable or interesting it is), and b) the characters, because if you do not create believable people in the world you have made, it will mean next to nothing. Build a unique world with real people - the thrills emerge from that, because that is what involves the reader the most.
