Goodreads asked Judith Galblum Pex:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Judith Galblum Pex As I wrote in the epilogue of "Come, Stay, Celebrate," "I conceived this book in stages as we sat around with former volunteers and friends reminiscing and telling stories. Someone would inevitably say, 'We need a book.' For years I had many reasons to believe I wasn't the one to write it: I was too busy; I believed that the world didn't need more books; I hadn't spent as much time at the hostel as the volunteers; and I thought my English wasn't adequate after living so long in Israel. But slowly the idea began to germinate in my mind, and I couldn't escape it."
