I think it gives great respect to certain forms of Christianity, expanding our ideas of what those might be. Stubbornness, closed-mindedness, lack of care for family and others--these are not what I consider to be real Christianity and certainly are not Jesus-like. We should never let ourselves be misled by people who are unloving and doctrinaire.(less)
