What has been the hardest scene to write in your books (emotionally)?

Lauren Oliver Unsurprisingly, many of my scenes have been difficult to write emotionally! Some of the standouts, though, include the scene when Blue dies in Pandemonium (or was it Requiem?), the scene in which Izzy and Sam spend a day together at Goose Point, and a fight between Dodge and Natalie at her birthday party in Panic.

Just finished the Delirium series - I read Before I Fall a few years ago, but when I recently finished Vanishing Girls, I knew I couldn't get enough of your work! I was wondering how Lena's name is pronounced. Is it "lean-uh," like you'd lean against a wall, or "lay-nuh," or something else entirely? Just curious! Huge fan.

I LOVED the ending of Requiem! (I know you get many many questions about it [I also like to believe Lena stayed with Julian <3]) But that final scene immediately reminded of the end of Les Miserables when the characters are tearing down the barricades ("Do you hear the people sing?"), it gave me chills!! I'm curious did you always know that was how you were going to end the trilogy??
