Keep at it. Attend workshops, connect with other writers, and learn how to edit your own work so that it's top notch material. Initially, use an editor for your first couple of books to help you see where your shortfalls are, then you should be able do 90% on your own... but you should ALWAYS have someone else review your work before you conclude that it's finished.
