Sir Metz's character is inspired by my friends and family members who are on the spectrum. While it is true that many on the spectrum may not do well in the chaos of battle, Sir Metz's ability to focus on the precision of each small movement allows him to perform at an extremely high level.

You may not remember, but years ago you looked over some of my writing for me and gave me great advice. The novel was call Shadow Wings then, it's about a shapeshifting Inupiaq bush pilot (I changed the title to Shadow Winged). Anyway, after way too many years, I finally indy published it on Kindle, and I wanted to just let you know how much that little bit of advice helped me. Thanks for being a good guy! ?
