David Estes:
what kind of books that you have read and they inspired you to start writing?
David Estes
Hi Houda, thanks so much for stopping by to ask a question! Like most Goodreads members, I am a book-obsessed reader and I devour books like they're one of my favorite foods. So I've read a lot of books that inspired me, far too many to list here. But to name a few...Unwind by Neal Shusterman (well, anything by Neal Shusterman) inspired me to write The Slip Trilogy, which remains my highest-rated dystopian series. Books like Divergent and The Hunger Games inspired me to write The Moon Dwellers, which continues to be my best-selling overall series. And, a book I read a dozen or more times as a child, The Lord of the Rings, was a major inspiration for my newest #1 Amazon bestselling series, Fatemarked.
Thanks again for the question and happy reading!

You may not remember, but years ago you looked over some of my writing for me and gave me great advice. The novel was call Shadow Wings then, it's about a shapeshifting Inupiaq bush pilot (I changed the title to Shadow Winged). Anyway, after way too many years, I finally indy published it on Kindle, and I wanted to just let you know how much that little bit of advice helped me. Thanks for being a good guy! ?

Firstly, LOVE your work. The Country Saga is by far the most memorable series you have published and was really amazed about how two series linked together. Earth Dwellers tore me apart at times. What authors do you get your inspiration from when starting to write a new series?

Hi David, hope all is well. I was wondering if you have any ARC or review copies of book one of Fatemarked? I have had my eye on this series for so long now but have been having a hard time finding a physical copy of the self pub version with that beautiful cover art! I make it my mission to read and review self published authors and share my reviews on GoodReads, Youtube, Twitter and Amazon to help spread the word:)
