(view spoiler)[Was it your intention to place religious symbolism in the series? A few examples are Saint Dane, the determinism of "the way it was meant to be," the fact that Bobby is told he will see everyone who died again (some sort of afterlife).

It wasn't a conscious decision. But having been raised a Catholic, those stories and concepts are pretty much ingrained so they bubble to the surface every so often. It's just part of my DNA. But I did begin with the concept that the Travelers were actually some form of "Guardian Angels"...who didn't know they were. And of course, Saint Dane's backstory pretty much follows the fall-from-grace concept of the devil. But I didn't intend to draw any Christian-specific analogies.
