Goodreads asked Nadine Rose Larter:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Nadine Rose Larter I think being a writer opens you up to new things in the same way that being a reader does. It makes you look at things in new ways. Or it does for me at least. It sort of forces a more three dimensional view of the world, I think. And writing just helps you detangle your brain sometimes. In many ways that is a particularly great benefit, although I do on the smallest of occasions find myself worrying about my own transparency being revealed through not only what I write but what I choose to write about. Luckily I seem to be able to remind myself that it's ok to let yourself shine through sometimes. I don't really hide too many parts of myself when it comes to life in general so there's no reason I should try to hide anything in my writing.
