What characteristic of Harry's was the most important for you to see maintained in the series?

That’s a really good question. It’s hard to describe but Harry’s difficult past informs his present. It’s what made him what he is; someone who is haunted but undaunted, tough but fair, who believes that everybody counts. I felt like we had to show these qualities but also reveal how he came by them. So it wasn’t just Titus Welliver showing him as a tortured soul. It was showing that and telling the story of how he got that way. I think we were successful.

Dear Mr. Connelly, It has been an amazing journey since The Black Echo. A wonderful moment has come, when we get to see Harry Bosch on the screen. My question is, what probability we have to see the series pick up from the starting, i.e. the first book, in the future?

Just a comment. I saw the pilot episode last night and I absolutely loved it. I think Titus has nailed Bosch. When it was over all I could say was WOW, how much longer to the 13th? I bought Amazon Prime specifically to see this series. I know that with you at the helm, the series will stay true to the book and true to the character of Bosch.

Hey Michael Harry Bosch is one of my favourite fictional characters period, kudos to you for creating such a well rounded and complex character, I'm excited for the new season of Bosch coming soon, have you got further seasons planned for the series or is it a season by season, see how it goes sorta thing? Could we see harry and mickey together on tv with Mat Mcconaghey cast as Haller?
