Goodreads asked I.S. Anderson:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

I.S. Anderson Know why you want to write. There is no right or wrong answer, but you have to be honest with yourself as to why you want to write. Everyone has a story inside them, not everyone has one other people want to hear. Practice, practice, practice. Like anything, the more you do it the better you get. Learn how to edit, in fact become a master at it, and find somebody you trust to be a second pair or eyes or even a third. Learn how to market yourself and your book. People will give out tips on what to write and how to organize your time for free, but when it comes to marketing books, you always end up having to pay something to learn techniques. That should tell you something.
