My most recent book, JUST LIKE ME, due out in April 2016, was inspired by my daughter and her friends. It is a camp story, and the three of them went away to camp. They actually went to the same camp I went to as a child, so in some ways my own life experiences were an inspiration as well.

Your book is a Rebecca Caudill nominee this year in Illinois. It was recommended to me by one of my students. We begin every English class with a writing activity. Abbi suggested that I use examples from it to motivate the children to write each day. Isn't that the perfect compliment?
