I do have few questions as I was confused. (1) The author never explained why Dr. White lied for Gwen faking her illness when she avoided going to the ball? (2) Is Mr. Bernard then Gwen's brother since Paul and Lucy ended up taking Bernard as the last name? (3) If Gwen has the 2nd Chronograph, does that mean Lucy and Paul don't have it with them?? Thanks!
Esme Gwyneth would be Mr. Bernard's great-great-great aunt (possibly more or less greats).
