Hi! Do I need to read any of the other series before I read "The Ballad of Smallhope and Pennyroyal"?

Jodi Taylor Him Kris. Some say yes and some say no. I think not really. I wrote it for those who hadn't read the earlier books. There are events from those other books which are referred to but because those stories are told elsewhere, I didn't want to repeat myself. Especially for people who had already read them. There is a short author's note at the end which lists the stories in which Smallhope and Pennyroyal have already appeared, should you want to read those as well.
