Goodreads asked Anne M. Kennedy:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Anne M. Kennedy A tough one. I heard author Bernard Cornwall (of Sharpe and The Last Kingdom fame) say that there is no such thing as Writer's Block. It happens because you try to make a character do something they don't want to do, or go somewhere they don't want to go. They have taken a wrong path. The solution is to rewind back to the crossroads and take a different path. Sounds easy in theory but hard in practice!
