There are too many flaws a mature adult can catch that a YA or NA reader would skip over. E.g., all of her uneducated lower-class characters all speak with excellent English, a girl with no experience with boys, let alone men, just melds into an intimate relationship without a blip, an isolated village thrives without the mention of any kind of industry, the main character has no chores and doesn’t contribute to her home, which just wouldn’t happen. Things that catch a mature adult’s attention. (less)
