Carol Goodman
My publisher suggested it, mostly because the Fairwick books diverged from my previous books and we wanted to differentiate between my "Carol Goodman" books and my "Juliet Dark" books. Personally, I thought there was a common thread between my first seven, non-fantasy books. I have always loved myth and fairy tale, there are themes of myth and fairy tale in my first seven books, so making those myths and fairy tales "real" in the Fairwick books didn't seem such a big stretch. However, it's clear to me from my readers' responses that while some readers happily followed me into the world of Faerie, others prefer the non-fantasy books (and some are happy to read both--YAY!). So maybe the Juliet Dark pseudonym was a good idea. I am deeply grateful for ALL my readers--adult, YA, fantasy, mystery--and hope you'll continue wanting to travel with me. Thanks for asking!

Carol Goodman:
After listening to The Lake of Dead Languages I felt like I knew these people and had a connection to them. I really loved the story and the depth you had in the plot without it becoming drawn out or monotonous. I look forward to reading your other books. Just saw I have to ask a question...How many books have you written?

Hi Carol - I am a true fan of your work thank you for reviving my love of reading! Having just finished the Blythewood trilogy, would you please let many of us confused readers know what exactly happened to Ava and Raven in the end? To have followed this romance through 3 books it seemed to be unclear in the conclusion!
