Hi! HUGE fan! Two questions: 1. Have you ever considered writing kids or young adult books? I would love to share St. Marys with my 5th graders but the scenes with Max and Leon prevent that. Maybe an abridged version? 2. Is Jeffery in Hard Time the same Jeff from The Good The Bad The History?

Hello there. Thanks for your question. I haven't actually ever considered writing for young people, but I wonder if you might like to try out the short stories with your 5th graders. I'm under instructions to be lighthearted and upbeat in those so it's possible your students would enjoy them. No violence, sex, or, as far as I can remember - bad language. I have recommended them to parents who would like to introduce their offspring to the series. Regarding Mr Geoffrey and Geoff - I haven't actually said whether they are one and the same but I think it's an unlikely coincidence there were two of them. I may bring him back one day. He was so awful I rather liked him. Best wishes, Jodi.

Hi Jodi, I'm afraid my question will alert the 'spoiler police' but here goes. I've been wondering about your decision to age Matthew. I imagine it would have been very difficult to continue Max's adventurous storyline with a young baby to care for. Did that influence your decision to age Matthew and ship him off to the future in the care of the Time Police?

Here's something to ponder: if there happened to be a sweatshirt with a design on it (maybe a small stone hut disguising a pod?) and some text on it ("We're St Mary's - what could possibly go wrong?"), I would buy such an article of clothing and wear it to pieces. Just saying.
