Out of curiosity, during the Horrorscape trilogy did Valerian ever have a deeper connection to Gavin? (except from predator and prey i mean) plus just wanted to say that your trilogy was the first different kind of genre for me, it was an interesting read and in all i actually enjoyed it. so thanks

It's difficult to say, because so much of her attraction to him was superficial. I think in the beginning she wanted to rebel against the straight and narrow: he represented danger (although more than she wanted, obv) & as with most good girls and bad boys, she wanted to save him and tame the beast.
Towards the end, Val was very unhappy and traumatized and depressed and confused. Gavin became her cross to bear, and as much as she hated him and wished him dead, part of her also liked the punishment he meted out because it validated her self-hatred and made her feel like she deserved all the shit she got.
I first wrote this story when I was 17-19, so it's not a happy story and has a lot of negative feelings and angst packed into it. I really like seeing people's reactions to the Horrorscape trilogy, because everyone reads something different out of it, whether good or bad. But yeah, while predator and prey is one of the obvious motifs, punishment and redemption and guilt also play pretty heavy roles too! (hide spoiler)]

Nenia Campbell:
Do you have anything that helps you write better? Like music or background noise? Maybe not necessarily write 'better' but maybe something that gets you in the right mindset? Also, was it hard to find a publisher who was interested? I want to write myself, but I find myself hesitant cause I'm not sure how difficult or easy it is to find someone who's interested.

Hey Nenia , I want to ask you did you publish horrorscape series yourself? I'm asking because when I was reading those books they published in only a few months apart so there wasn't much waiting for the readers. The same thing with the book Tantalized? . if you don't publish all your books then how do you and publishers work as a team and handle time-management?.
