I developed the series from the idea of the war in the heavens (linked to Genesis and the first Fall). Initially, I was going to write about the war between the angels but this developed into a paranormal romance with Nephilim and incorporated my love of ancient history. I wanted to ensure that the story held as much historical fact as possible so that readers could learn something new about the past.
