Hi Viktoriya, so sorry I didn't answer this earlier. I've only just seen it. So so sorry!! Yes, there will be "Stone" (which is being edited at the moment and is really long but it will be the culmination of the series).

Hi Ed, thanks for the question. It's a mixed bag, to be honest. The main protagonist, Sage, and her sister, Saffron, are modelled loosely on the students I've taught over the years (I lecture/ tutor young adults at university) - so, for instance, Saffron's struggle with anorexia is quite real as is her more overt sensuality whereas Sage is the bookish teenager. And, as my own mother was an artist, it was easy to use that as a character device for Sage's mother. The places the characters come from are also those I know well from extended family members residing there (even the references to Eton College). But other characters like Louis Gravois are pure fiction.
Yet the desire was to make them believable as I wanted complexity and the shades of grey in a character (not just good or evil).
But, in answer to your question, no character resembles a real person I know fully but are usually a collection of traits of various people I know or know of.

The readers. I have to admit that the readers make writing and publishing worthwhile. When readers tell me about their reading experiences - and that they believe in the world and the characters I've created - it is a humbling experience and I truly feel blessed for the generosity of my readers.

I developed the series from the idea of the war in the heavens (linked to Genesis and the first Fall). Initially, I was going to write about the war between the angels but this developed into a paranormal romance with Nephilim and incorporated my love of ancient history. I wanted to ensure that the story held as much historical fact as possible so that readers could learn something new about the past.

I am writing the third novel of the Keepers of Genesis series which returns to Sage's perspective.

Keep writing. Keep reading. Develop your own style. Remember that you're writing because you must, you feel compelled to write, it's what you do and are.
Technically, always know where you want to end your piece before you begin. Create characters that you fall in love with - so that your readers can also fall in love with them.
And remember that in narrative, something has to happen.

I don't have a set amount of hours to write a day like some authors. Instead, if I have writer's block, I usually edit other parts of my novel, do some research for upcoming chapters and let the block pass. It usually does. Of course, this can take days (sometimes weeks) but then when I next get a burst of inspiration, I write my heart out.
