I just started reading the Elizabeth Cage series as I’m fully up to date with St Mary’s and the Time Police (all of which I’ve read this year so thank you for helping me get a long long way toward my reading goal!). My question is are the universes all connected? Obviously they’re both set in Rushford, but I wonder whether in your mind the characters are connected, albeit in different times?
Jodi Taylor
Hello Heather. They aren't really connected but occasionally I give in to my dark side and mention a character from another series. For instance, in one of the Elizabeth Cage books, a character mentions owning a Russell Checkland painting because he's very collectable these days. I probably shouldn't do it - it'll come back to bite me one day - but I can't help wondering what Elizabeth Cage would make of young Matthew. Would she see him as normal? Thanks for your question.

Hi Jodi. I just found your St Mary’s books in 2023 and try to stop myself from reading every book in one month! I’m trying to spread them out over time, as they bring me just pure utter joy! My question, do you have notebooks filled with ideas due to the vast historical subjects to choose from, or is it a brainstorm of your creative mind and then you write one book? Either way, please don’t stop! Thank you!

Hallo I rather buy the short stories in one single book . Is there going to be a book with the remainig short stories? I've thought of buying them individually and discover with dismay that three of them are no longer available: St. Mary's and the Great Toilet Roll Crisis, The Girl with a Pearl in her nose and The Muse of History . Please, reissue them in a collection book. Thank you very much. Pilar
