How do you get inspired to write?

Dan Mathews Sometimes it can be hard to motivate yourself. You need to be strict and set yourself goals (e.g. 2k words a day / 5k words a day etc). Surround yourself in things similar to what you want to write about - this will help you get the right frame of mind.

For example, if you want to write about your love of pets, look at some funny animal pictures. If you want to write about an action scene, watch some tv or youtube clips of similar things - this isn't for you to collect material (ideas must be your own!) it is to help you feel the theme you want to write about.
