Accept it. Sometimes you just need to give yourself a little time. Writing can be like moon phases. Sometimes you can go full-on, sometimes you are only half there. On days when the moon just doesn't shine - accept it and watch a good film or go out for a while $;-)
If it lasts for more than a week, then try surrounding yourself in things (tv programs/films, books, music, youtube clips...) that are similar to what you want to write about. Ideas need to be your own so this is not a way to gain material etc. What it will do though, is hopefully ease you back into the mindset that you had when you were last blasting out page after page!

You set your working hours. You can freely tell lies all day long. You can create books in the way that you like. You can let your mind play and it be in a useful way (sometimes! lol). You can earn money from doing something you love - not many jobs offer that!

Persevere. Grow a thick skin. Never take anything - especially reviews to hart. Be strict - set yourself realistic goals (e.g. write 2k words a day) and force yourself to stick to them. Enjoy your days off and never be afraid to ask. Many have been there before and many will will be there again - no question is a silly question; especially if you don't know the answer!

A second action thriller. Again it is military based and whilst not a direct follow-on from Alpha Three, it does involve the same characters. Alpha Three itself is part of a series (Alpha Three, Two and One; Two and One are yet to be released $;-)

Sometimes it can be hard to motivate yourself. You need to be strict and set yourself goals (e.g. 2k words a day / 5k words a day etc). Surround yourself in things similar to what you want to write about - this will help you get the right frame of mind.
For example, if you want to write about your love of pets, look at some funny animal pictures. If you want to write about an action scene, watch some tv or youtube clips of similar things - this isn't for you to collect material (ideas must be your own!) it is to help you feel the theme you want to write about.

You should always try and relate any story or part of a story to something real because it will help you imagine and focus better. i.e. the best told lies are ones that are based on the truth..!
However, any idea must be your own. You can take a general idea as the skeleton for your thought pattern, but you must flesh it out yourself.
