Leandro Thomas Gonzales There was a tremendous amount of time and effort that went into writing, editing, and promoting; so at first, it was a sense of accomplishment. Afterwards, it was humbling to learn that teenagers were using my book for their school report projects. Another humbling experience was learning that an international group of librarians nominated "Follow the Spinning Sun" as the novel which they thought would make a lasting contribution to excellence in world literature.
