E.S. Hoover Currently I am working on a historical thriller regarding a Roman Centurion by the name of Vitus Acteon Severus who served 25 years in the Roman Legion. The book begins with his journey from Rome to his new estate in southern Gaul. He has been retired for less than two months and has vowed to never again raise his blade in violence; he doesn't even make it to his new property without breaking this vow. Vitus finds that no matter how hard he tries to avoid interactions with other human beings, his fate has other plans.
