How do you get inspired to write?

Jessie McClain Honestly, almost anything can inspire me. I've always been able to see things for a little more than what they are. I tend to...over think. For example, in the third installment of The Dreamcatchers Saga (that I'm working on right now) I was trying to figure out how exactly I wanted to start it off. I took my dog for a walk one morning when the first snow came in. It was bitter cold and I could see my breath hanging in the air. And just the snow, frost, and cold inspired my prologue. My characters were inspired by people I know and love or maybe even people that I have known and disliked. I find the potential for a story in simple everyday life.
