What did you think of the movie adaptation of Pay It Forward? Did you have any input during the production?

Hi Joy. I had no input, which is the common experience for the author. I think the Pay It Forward concept itself came through well, but other things I would have done differently. I usually just say "I thought the book was better." Which, coming from the author, usually gets a smile.

I enjoyed how different characters overcome issues to make a difference even if it is a small difference for one character. When you writing do you start with a basic message you are trying to get across or does one emerge during the process?
