Goodreads asked Paula Brackston:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Paula Brackston I don't think I've ever suffered from writer's block as such. A block suggests an absence of ideas, whether for a story, or for a way out of a point in a story. I'm more likely to get a sort of writer's log-jam, where all the mad and many ideas I have get squashed together trying to fight their way out into the world.
That said, if I do get a bit stuck on a tricky plot details I find a brisk walk helps. Or tea. And of course, you can't have tea without biscuits. Or possibly cake.
