(view spoiler)[Hi James, I'm a huge fan of the Licanius Trilogy and the Will of the Many, can't wait for the Strength of the Few release!
I have a question about a plot point in The Will of the Many - when Vi and Belli play their game of Foundation for a place in Class Three, why is it in Belli's interest that Vis pledge to Governance? Given she is in military, it feels like she'd be upsetting quite a few of her own people! (hide spoiler)]

For sure - this is something where the full explanation kind of got cut in WotM, but will be clarified briefly in SotF - in short, she's both trying to remove him as a future rival in Military, but also gain favour for her father (who is technically also Military but as the Proconsul in Sytrece, depends heavily on Governance to operate). So her family have a foot in both camps - their loyalties are very split, basically.

Mr. Islington, you captured my love and trust as a reader from your amazing twists and ability to weave together complex storylines (such as your use of time travel in Licanius, and the epilogue of Will). My question is: What stories or media throughout your life have inspired your creativity and tendency for unique storytelling? Cannot stop recommending your work to all of my friends. You got me back into reading!

Hi James, big fan of your work. You mentioned ages ago about there potentially being another book in the Licanious world. Although I am enjoying this new trilogy so far, I am wondering if that potential book is still something that you’re thinking about or does it look like it’s not something that you’re going to come back to?
