Hello! Thank you very much for writing The Will of the Many and The Licanius Trilogy! I can’t wait to read The Strength of the Few and Licanius is one of my favorite fantasy stories of all time! It had an amazing ending and epilogue! Will you be writing more stories from the world of Licanius? Also I love Vis! He’s such an amazing character, with some great qualities! Was he inspired by any real life heroes you have?
James Islington
I'll almost certainly write more stories in the world of Licanius, one day... but almost certainly not until Hierarchy is complete.
Thanks, that's great to hear! Vis wasn't inspired by anyone in real life - but I am incredibly fortunate to know several admiration-worthy people in my own life, so there's no doubt they had some influence in how he's written.

Hey James, while reading WOTM I couldn't help but get a video game feeling from the Will-sharing system, with higher ups in society basically becoming Bosses with the strength of hundreds of men behind them. If Hierarchy were adapted into a video game, what games would you want it to draw inspiration from?

Hi James! I got into Licanius through Michael Kramer audiobook, and WotM is currently my all-time fave book. I have two (slightly silly) questions: 1) There's a lot less 'acceding', 'inclined their head', 'companionable silence', and 'wry smiles' in WotM. How much of that is your natural growth as a writer vs the editor forcing you to change it? 2) Do you consider the name Dioggo (for Diago the Alupi) to be canon?
