I have a sphynx name Desdemona who I will be losing and I wish commemorate her with a tattoo of her paw print. I was wondering if The Bastard has some kind of symbol I could use to frame the paw print?

The only thing of the sort I can think of is the 5-sided seal we used for the Vilnoc Bastard's Order on the title pages of some of the ebooks and elsewhere. One paw up and one down, in place of the hands? "No Paws But Ours" ... Take a look, see what you think.

Hi, I was just wondering if you've heard of or read Winter's Orbit by Everina Maxwell? I really enjoyed it, primarily because it felt a lot like Vorkosigan saga. Not in a derivative sense, but more in the sense of general feeling I got from it. I later learnt that Ms Maxwell is a fan of your work (and of Georgette Heyer's work, too), so I just felt like I had to put it on your radar. Cheers!

I just realized my son (who is almost 10) shares an unusual name with one of your characters, Ser Galen. As many times as I've reread those books I'm shocked it took me this long to make that connection. Other than the historical significance, I thought the only other place I had seen it before was the character Richard Galen from STTNG (there's a bit of a family in-joke about the latter). Where did you get the name?
