Hi Megan! I just finished reading Beware The Woman. Who planted the book of scary stories for Jacy to find? If it was Dr. Ash are we being led to believe that the creepy doctor was her dad? Or did Jed somehow get his hands on it? Did I miss something? Loved the story!

Megan Abbott Hey, Helen! No one planted it there--at least not literally. But I do think it was somehow meant to be there to help her save herself. Does that make sense? Like her body trying to warn her she was in danger, the book reminds her of that childhood warning.
