She said she recognized “Max” at the studio before he introduced himself. Punk’d ran from 2003 to 2012 and she got her PhD in 2008 so we’re looking for artists recording in LA around that time. He was recording albums in LA with Jerry Finn in 2003 (released ‘04) and another in 2007 (that didn’t get released until 2009). The lyrics for several songs on that album are intriguing. He also played the Hollywood Bowl in the summer of 2007. This was fun to try to figure out!(less)
