Alea asked Katie McGarry:

Why did you decided writing books about young love in way that the most antithetical characters end up together, where both main character ( the guy and girl ) who are completely divergent from each other unexpectedly fall in love?

Katie McGarry Hi Alea,

I like writing characters who are opposites because in the end, I enjoy showing that they really aren't that different after all.

For instance, in Pushing the Limits, Noah's the bad boy, rule breaker and Echo's the good girl, rule follower, but they share something in common: they are both grieving.

We often judge people by their outside appearance, but truth be told, we probably have a ton in common with someone who "looks" different from us.

Thank you for the question!

Katie
