The answer is both. :-)
Sometimes I hear a song and it will inspire a scene. Other times I've already written the scene and, when I hear a song, it makes me think of it.
For instance, Dirt Road Anthem by Jason Aldean helped me create Ryan.
How Country Feels by Randy Houser wasn't released until after I wrote Dare You To, but it perfectly describes the entire novel to me. The music video is like a living book trailer to me for Dare You To!

I'm a huge fan of your work, especially the Thunder Road Series - I got through the first two books in the last five days, and set up a new library account just so I could access the third book. I was wondering if you plan on releasing another series anytime soon? Also, do you think there will be anymore stories in the Thunder Road series, whether they're novels or additional novellas?
