Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jennifer Lott My most recent book project was inspired by a short story I wrote about six years ago. I got the idea for the short story when I only lasted two weeks as a Blockbuster employee, and my injured pride over being let go struggled against relief since I never liked the job. The alien world I invented was initially my stand against human expectations in the workforce, but the themes have changed drastically since I reworked my aliens into a plot for a middle-grade novel.
