Tami Hoag This is an excellent question! I do write a lot about crimes against women. In part that's because I like to write about serial killers, and the majority of serial killers victimize women. The psychology of that is endlessly fascinating to me. But there is also a factor of what's the most terrifying thing to me, personally. Someone once asked me why I write about murder and not other types of crimes. Murder is the ultimate crime. The threat of murder makes my blood run cold--and more so if the victim is a woman, because I'm a woman.
