A Goodreads user asked this question about Little Women (Little Women, #1):
What are your thoughts and opinions about Amy? She's generally not the favorite sister, to say the least. From the time she burned Jo's manuscript to her journey to Europe and eventual marriage to Laurie, readers brush her off as selfish. So, out of curiosity, what are your thoughts? :)

Amy is actually my favorite. All of the girls have their faults to overcome.
Meg remembers the good times and must overcome her vanity and adjust to her reduced circumstances.
Beth needs to overcome her extreme shyness which she does not quite manage to do because of her early death.
Jo must learn to manage her temper, which she does not learn to do completely either.
And Amy is spoiled. Well, she did not spoil herself. And of course she is less mature. She is younger than the rest. She does overcome the brattiness. And to those who think Jo deserved to go to Europe, and not Amy, Amy LIKED Aunt March. Jo did not like her and could not be bothered to learn French. Jo did not want to marry Laurie yet she was jealous about both of those things. So Jo had her share of immaturity, too, especially when it came to her competition with Amy.(less)
