Your novels often feature leads whom are disabled or suffer from chronic illness. As someone with both, I have found your portrayals both accurate, respectful and empathetic. It's unusual to find and I was wondering if you had lived experience either with yourself or through someone you know? Love your books, they regularly get a reread.

Thanks for your question, Maggie! I'm so glad you've been enjoying my stories. My portrayal of disability and chronic illness is inspired and informed by my own experience. I broke my neck many years ago and have had to have several cervical spine surgeries, resulting in reduced mobility and chronic pain. A lot of my characters deal with similarly traumatic injuries where they have to come to terms with a new kind of life. Some of them are initially reluctant, either to rehabilitate an injury or to accept their limitations. I can personally relate to that struggle, along with the depression that often comes with it.

This is not a question, just a word of praise. I just discovered your books this past year, and I completely fell in love with your writing. Whatever you're doing, please, just keep doing it. Your characters are so incredibly well done, and the storylines very intriguing. I have only good things to say. I will read anything you write. So keep them coming. That wasn't too gushing was it?

I love your books & have read each book & then bought your audiobooks so I can relisten to the story until recently. The new narration is frustrating with the male narrators reading half of the female lines & the female narrators doing vice versa. Why did you choose to switch away from Whyndam & do you plan to have him narrate in the future?
